Anna has been busy at work curating the Woolwich Beanfest, a reprisal of a holiday declared on July 6, 1773 by King George III! Originally meant to be a celebration of beans and bacon, Beanfest 2024 will feature a celebration of food and drink through panels, workshops, demos and a mini marketplace featuring cookbook sellers and food stalls.
More info about the event can be found here and follow @woolwichworks for an announcement of when ticket sales go live!

Other news:
Chloe was on the BBC Food Programme talking about tacos off the back of her Vittles piece on the same subject. If you’re a fan of Mexican food and want to try more than just tacos, you should head to the Comalera ‘Vitamina T’ pop-up at Doña in Stoke Newington which starts on June 15 with tortas!
Anna was part of a panel at City University to discuss the 2021 article The Growth in ESEA Representation: Pitfalls, Potentials, and Politics. Three years on, a lot of movement has been made which was celebrated by this panel while they also critiqued how to move the needle forward and what groups may still benefit from more representation.
